Will we meet in person?/Do I have to be local to Billerica, Massachusetts?
If you are located in Northern/Western Massachusetts or Southern New Hampshire and would like to meet in person, that would be great! But it's not necessary.

Between phone and e-mail communications, it's possible to keep connected even if you're in another state. You'll still be able to see and approve every project every step of the way.

How long will my project take?
After our initial meeting (either in person or by phone), you will generally receive a first draft (or your 3 design choices) in 5 business days. Once you select the final design, you'll receive the second draft in about 3 business days. At this point, you'll need to make any and all changes and, once received, you'll get the final draft 3 business days later.

If you want Design a la carte to handle the printing and/or hosting process, there will be additional time dedicated to these services. A complete estimate of the time and money needed to complete the project to your full satisfaction will be included in your initial quote.

How involved will I be in the design process?
At the beginning of the project you will not only define the project requirements, you will also be encouraged to give us an overview of your business, business objectives, what types of design you like and dislike, and what image you'd like the project to convey.

We know that you're busy, so we can work with as little, or as much, of your creative input that you care to provide.

What if I don't like the designs presented?
Design a la carte hopes to develop a design concept that you love. If you are not satisfied with the design concepts presented to you, work will continue until that satisfaction is met or your money will be refunded.

Terms & Conditions

Estimated Time and Costs
Prior to any project, Design a la carte will provide the client with a detailed estimate of the time and money required for project completion. If the scope or deliverables of the project change, Design a la carte will provide the client with a revised quote before moving forward. Remember: our ability to meet deadlines is predicated upon the client's provision of all necessary information and approvals in a timely manner.

Printing fees and/or Internet Hosting fees will be estimated separately and payment arrangements made between client and printer and/or ISP.

Payment Schedule:
50% of the estimate is due upon project commencement. Balance (50% plus any additional third party expenses) are payable upon completion. Invoices are payable upon receipt. Payment is accepted via Personal or Business Checks.

Termination Policy:
Client and Designer may terminate the project based upon mutually agreeable terms to be determined in writing, either prior to agreement with the initial proposal or within the final Client-Designer Contract. Rejection of the completed project by the client or cancellation during its execution will result in forfeiture of the initial 50% deposit.

Copyrights:
Upon payment for the completed project, the client becomes the owner of any and all materials designed for him/her by Design a la carte. The designer retains personal rights to use the completed project and any preliminary designs for the purpose of design competitions and/or the marketing of the designer's business.
